3 easy ways to save money

I’m always looking for ways to save money, rather it be using coupons, promo codes or something else.  I thought I would share with you a few ways I keep money in my pocket.

  1. Cut out the fast food. Let’s face it…When we get hungry, it’s tempting to make a quick run through the drive-thru of your local fast food joint.  Fast food is just that….FAST FOOD!  You’ll be hungry again in no time and you’ll probably end up hitting up another fast food place.  Why not just use that money to make a home cooked meal?  You’ll save money in the process and your tummy will get a whole lot fuller.  Also think twice about eating out  during lunch time EVERYDAY.  Pack a lunch and save the gas you would be using up to get you to that eatery.
  2. Pay Your Bills On Time.  It may be hard to do at times, but waiting until the last minute will only get you late fees added to your account.  Avoid those unnecessary fees by paying early.  If you can’t pay it all at once before the due date….Try paying a small amount whenever you can before the due date, so when that date comes you won’t have to shell out the full amount.  Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
  3. Pay With Cash.  This one you’ve probably heard of before.  Paying with cash is just easier in my opinion.  There’s no constantly checking your bank account to see if a check cleared, there are no interest fees piling up like it would if you used a credit card.  While it may be so easy to swipe that piece of plastic we refer to as a credit card…That cute $40 blouse may end up costing you twice as much.  Keep it simple…Use cash whenever you can.

January 2016 To-Do-List

My how time flies!  I still can’t believe it’s 2016!  I’m a mother of three, so there’s always plenty of stuff that I need to get done.  I am a person who has to have a planner to jot down EVERYTHING.

With that being said…Here are the items on my to-do-list for this month.  Keep in mind that these are things that I am aware of at the moment…Things always seem to pop up. :/

moms-to-do-list-no-do-list

  1. Clean out and Organize All Closets.  Lord Help!  I do this multiple times a year.  Especially with my kids closets.  They have so much stuff and as I donate things, they seem to accumulate more.  I blame their Nana.  Lol  My closet seemed to get extra packed last year, so it’s in dire need of a cleaning.
  2. Get rid of some of my things.  I can be a pack rat at times…Not to be confused with a Hoarder.  I really need to go through some boxes and either sell, donate or trash some things.  I’m probably sitting on a load of cash!  🙂  You know what they say….One person’s trash, is another person’s treasure.
  3. Schedule Appointments. There are 5 of us in my household so that means lots of checkups and other appointments.  I will be scheduling appointments that I know myself, my husband and the kids need on a regular basis….Well Checkups, Dental Visits and etc.  By doing this I can go ahead and mark the dates on my planner <– You know that thing I can’t live without.  😉

What’s on your to-do-list for this month?
